Best places to go in NYC!

Hey guys!
As most of you know, I went to New York a few weeks ago so I wanted to share some of my favourite places that I went to! If you're thinking about going to New York, you should definitely check out some of these places!

1. Ellis Island
Ellis Island has a great National Immigration museum with kid-friendly audio tours and lots of different rooms to look at. Ellis Island was where all the immigrants went to try and get a better life in America. We went on Statue Cruises which also stopped off at Liberty Island but we didn't get off there as we had a great view of the statue from the boat.

2. Rockefeller
The Rockefeller is a skyscraper, with great views of Manhattan island. You can see an amazing skyline, with the Empire State Building, One World Trade and the whole of central park. There are several different viewing platforms that have telescopes to see more detail.
This is the view from the top of the Rockefeller (I took this photo myself!)

3. 9/11 museum
I really recommend the 9/11 museum. It was very sad as we walked through it but it was layed out really nicely. The staff were really kind and they helped to explain things to us in all the different rooms. There were also short films and videos to watch throughout the whole thing.

4. One World Trade
One World Trade is just next to the 9/11 museum. We went up it in the evening so we had a really pretty view of all the lights in the city. There is a really cool reveal when you can look at the view for the first time and there is a viewing platform going all the way round the building.
This is One World Trade!

5. The VR Bar
The VR Bar is in Brooklyn, not Manhattan, so you might not be able to go here but we were staying in Brooklyn so we were able to go. There were 3 real VRs with the headset, two controllers and the screen that you could go on for 10 dollars. It was so fun and there were loads of games you could do.

6. Ice skating
New York is very well known for ice skating so we had to do it. The ice skating we went to was in Prospect park, in Brooklyn but there are plenty of ice rinks all round New York like the one in Central Park. Ice skating is a really fun thing to do, to be able to have a break from all the sight-seeing.
This is the rink I went to in Prospect Park!
7. The Met Museum
The Met museum is a massive art museum in the Upper-East side of Manhattan. It has so many different rooms, all with different styles of art in them. There are lots of paintings by famous artists in there too, like Picasso.

8. The Highline
The Highline is a walk through Manhattan on an old, disused train track. It has lots of different places where you can get off and go and look around the area or do some shopping, before joining back on and continuing the walk. There are lots of different views to see as you walk along the track but the nice thing is that you can get off at any point through one of the exits if you've had enough.

9. Trump tower
We just had to go and get our picture taken outside Trump Tower with the golden lettering and highly-armed security guards. Now that Trump is president, he lives in Washington D.C but his wife and son still live in Trump Tower. There is a Starbucks at the bottom of the tower and a big Nike store is connected to it.

10. Prospect Park
Prospect Park is a large park in Brooklyn, designed like Central Park. It has lots of cycle, walking and car lanes as well as several massive areas of grass. There is an ice skating rink in Prospect Park, where we went ice skating and there is lots of other fun things to do.
This is Prospect Park when the snow is just fading away (I took this photo myself!)
Thanks for reading everyone!! I really hope you enjoyed this post as I spent quite a long time writing it! Sorry I haven't posted in a while - I've been really busy lately but I'm still managing to post at least once a month! Comment down below if you've been to New York or you are planning on going soon!
